Sascha Dikiciyan is one of the most sought-after composers in the video game industry today. A native of Germany, Sascha grew up playing piano & drums. In 1993, he moved to Los Angeles, where he studied at Hollywood’s famous Musicians Institute as well as UCLA’s prestigious School of Music.

Sascha’s interest in video games began in the early 80s, compelling him to independently produce and release “Methods of Destruction,” the first-ever audio add-on for the original Quake in 1996. His innovative work soon captured the interest of id software, who recruited him to compose original music for Quake II. He soon became one of the leading progressive voices in game music, scoring titles like James Bond: Tomorrow never dies and Quake 3 Arena among others.

In 2005, Sascha teamed up with the award-winning composer and guitarist Cris Velasco, composer for such games as God of War I & II and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. The pair quickly became known for their ground-breaking hybrid style, combining orchestral scores with Electronic/Industrial beats. Together, the two have collaborated on more than a dozen game titles including Dark Messiah, Splinter Cell 4, Beowulf, Haze and Hellgate: London.

Sascha’s skill for creating unique sounds resulted in the creation of his first sample CD, “Noize Loops,” which won a Future Music Platinum Award. Keyboard magazine noted, “Not since Sounds Good’s Methods of Mayhem sample CD have we encountered a collection with so much edge and attitude.”

When not composing for games, Sascha produces dance music under the pseudonym “Toksin.” Considered to be one of the top remixing artists in the world, Toksin won BPM Magazine’s Remix contest with his original re-production of BT’s anthem, “Communicate.” The original track “Digital Divine” was released in February 2006 on Distinctive Records’ long-standing electronic compilation series, Y4K featuring Nubreed. 2008 will finally see the release of Toksin’s long-awaited EP, created to break the barriers between Rock, Breakbeat, and Drum ’n’ Bass.

Sascha currently resides in the Los Angeles area, and is represented by Four Bars Intertainment.
